Description
OPEN SPRING ISOLATORS IOSB
Equipment designed to be installed resting on a floor can typically be supported at specific points or mounted on a supplemental base which can be supported at points. Isotech’s line of floor-mounted vibration isolators can be installed at these points to absorb equipment vibration energy before it enters the building structure and create audible noise or noticeable vibrations. The uniquely-engineered compression springs are used for low frequency vibrations and elastomeric isolators (spring neoprene cups) help absorb high frequency vibrations.
Isotech IOS series of floor-mounted free-standing isolators provide vibration isolation for mechanical systems and equipment, and are effective at absorbing both low and high frequency vibrations. The IOSB isolators are available for 1”,2” and 3″ deflection vibration isolation applications. These “open,” or un-housed, isolators use uniquely engineered springs that provide a minimum of 50% additional travel to solid and are powder-coated and colour-coded for superior corrosion protection and ease of identification. All other hardware is zinc plated, including the leveling and adjustment nuts used to position and secure the isolated equipment.
Competitive Advantages: IOSB is engineered to meet all the requirements for HVAC application and have a minimum of Kx/Ky = 1 and 50% over-travel and yet offer low profile spring design. This would be a significant advantage when there is a limition in installation height. Isotech developed a line of springs that is incorporated into various isolation products and capacities by side to side and nesting combinations, resulting in minimum spring inventory and therefore reducing cost to provide Isotech with the advantage of selling at a competitive price.
