ISOTECH® ISRL Rod Stiffeners with Structural Angle provide crucial support for seismic brace systems in vertical strut components of hanger and trapeze assemblies. Required when seismic bracing is attached within 4″ of the rod, ISRL ensures stability and structural integrity for all hung utilities, including single-hung pipes, trapeze-hung utilities, and suspended equipment. Each installation must include at least two rod stiffeners to meet seismic safety standards.
For configurations with two opposing rigid braces installed at the same angle within 5 degrees of 180° from each other, ISRL rod stiffeners are not required, offering flexibility for both transverse and longitudinal bracing applications. The ISRL guarantees compliance and enhanced protection in seismic conditions.
